A New Year, a fresh start…

Yes, i know, i haven’t updated my blog in foreverrrrrr. I will try and keep up with it a little better in 2012(although i said that in 2011 too lol)

So i never made my 52lb goal I had set for myself in 2011, I had lost about 5.8lbs… at least i didn’t gain my weight back, right? :)

So, my goal for 2012 is again, 52lbs.  This year i WILL do it.. I have to.

I haven’t started the year off that great though. :( I have been sick as a dog for about a week now, am on antibiotics so hopefully i will be feeling better in the next day or so. :)   I haven’t been to the gym in over a month. :( So once i am 100%, i will start going more often and when I don’t go, will do things at home as well.  I have a recumbent bike along with the wii and a bunch of different games that keeps you active. :)

So far, i have lost 1.6lbs in 2012, but that has a part with being sick i imagine since i havent been working out at all. No energy.  But, like i said, once i am feeling better, i will slowly start back at it. :)

At one point in 2012, I may even get a trainer.  They are pretty expensive though 750-800 for 12 sessions. But my gym is pretty cheap overall, so i guess the higher prices makes sense..

Anyhoo, i just wanted to touch base with everyone and let you all know i am still alive and kicking hehe  Hope you all had a great holiday and are having an even better new year!

Too long…

Wow, last time i posted in my blog was the beginning of march lol

A lot has been going on, so haven’t thought to post i guess..Back in april my dad was in the hospital for a couple weeks, things seem ok now though :) but around the same time, I was having problems with my teeth and had to go to the dentist as my face was starting to swell up and stuff.. He put me on antibiotics but said the top teeth will hafta come out and I will be getting dentures to replace them..

So he sent me to a dental surgeon.  I went to see him on May 20th and was told it would be a 4-6 month wait to get in the hospital to have them pulled.  My dentist didnt like that answer and sent me to another surgeon on June 1st…

Well my appt is coming up… wednesday actually, the 22nd.  Getting very nervous about the whole thing. sigh.

One good thing though, should lose lots of weight as i wont be eating. lol  Can not have anything to eat OR drink 6-7 hrs before surgery and then the day OF surgery(after its over), i can only have juice, yogurt and soup(don’t like/eat soup, so yogurt and juice it is), then for 5-7 days after the surgery i can only have soup, mashed potatoes, soft pasta, yogurt, pudding, etc.. anything soft(dont eat soup or pasta)… so looks like i should be able to lose lots of weight during this time haha.

Because of this i have been indulging as i will not be able to have any of the good stuff for awhile… and yes, i shouldnt anyways, but i still have some once in awhile.. so to know i wont be able to is kinda freakin me out. lol Hence the reason “diets” never work… if you tell yourself you can never have such and such ever again, chances are that will just make ya freak out and quit trying altogether..

Even though I don’t post often, I am still on this thing i call a weightloss journey… it has slowed down a lot, but at least i am still trying and haven’t given up.. 76.2lbs lost in 2.5 years is better than gaining 76.2 right?… right.

Loving my gym!

So, i haven’t posted in awhile, sorry. :)

So, as everyone knows, the gym I have been anxious to start going to finally opened on February 9th.  The first week i think i went twice… but now i am pretty much going 4 times a week!  I love it.  Today when I went, I did 31 mins on the treadmill(the 2nd time ever doing the treadmill!) So needless to say it felt like the room was moving when I was done, my legs felt like jello lol So i took a little bit of a break for a good 20-30 mins and then i did 20 mins on the bike and after that i took a 10 min swim!  I am surprising myself hehe

Hopefully I will have a loss on the scale this week. Last week i had point 4 of a lb loss and the week before my weight stayed the same.  I am still on track of making my goal of 52 pounds for the year though. To date, I have lost 10.4lbs since january 1st, that was 9 weeks ago yesterday :)

I am hoping to be at the 90lb loss by April 16th, going out that night and will definately be celebrating haha.  The band I go see will be playing that night. :)

Anyways just wanted everyone to know my update and I will keep you posted, i am almost at 100lbs lost, can you believe it?!

Update – February 19, 2011

So, I have been going to my gym that opened, yay! only twice lol but still.. :) I went to aquafit last wednesday evening and it was awesome!  I had sooo much fun!  Was hard, but yet fun at the same time.  I would like to go every wednesday :)   They have a class Tuesday as well, so sometimes I may go then too or instead of… :)

I lost 2.2 pounds last week, so that is 10 pounds since January 1st.  My goal for 2011 is 52 pounds, so 42 to go, that’s about point 9 of a pound a week, i can totally do that!  Although I would like to reach 100 pounds total lost by April 16th and THAT would be a 2.5 pound loss a week from now til then, so we shall see.. :)

Anyways, don’t have much more to write about, just wanted to give everyone an update. :)

So excited!!

So excited and i just can’t hide it. hehe  I just found out the gym I joined back in September is supposed to be opening at 11am on February 9th… when i checked the website on the 31st of january, it just said February, so now having a date must be a good sign. i hope! :)

Well seems like I am on track to losing the 52 pounds in 2011. :) Week 1 I lost 1.4 pounds, week 2 i lost 4.4, week 3 i lost 1.4, week 4 i gained 1.6 and week 5 i lost 1. :)

I am hoping to be at a total weightloss of 100 pounds by April 16th, that is the next time the band I go see is playing at the bar near me.  So I could really have a celebration going on if it happens hehe. If it doesn’t happen, it will be close anyways :)   23 more pounds and I will have lost 100, that is soo hard to believe lol

Anyways just wanted to post to give an update and to say woohoo, my gym is finally opening soon!!

New beginnings…

So, today is the 1st day of the new year.  Also marks a new beginning.

2010 I didn’t do too well.  December 18th, 2009 I was 299 and December 31, 2010 I was 299.6.

But at least I didn’t gain it all back and pretty much maintained.  Obviously I would have liked to lose, but I suppose I should look at the positive…

2011 will be much different than 2010.  I refuse to be the weight I am right now at the end of this year.  I will be losing at least 52 pounds for the year(a pound a week.)  So as of yesterday i weighed 299.6, so on December 31, 2011 I will be weighing no more than 247.6 :)

The gym I joined is STILL not open. grrrrrr.  Was supposed to be December 15th, then January 3rd, now I hear it won’t be til February or March. :( sigh.  I can’t wait for it to open, so I can go swimming and take aquafit and all that jazz. :)

I will have lots of people to go with, so hopefully I will have the motivation to go and keep at it. :) I really need to do this this time!

Well i hope everyone had a very happy new year!  One of my goals for the new year, is to keep up with my blog more often than i have been, so more often than every 3 months lol hopefully once a week or every 2 weeks.  Guess depending on if i have any news. :)

my100poundyear over?

So, October 8th marked the year anniversary of “my100poundyear” .  Time sure flies, can not believe it has been over a year now. wow.

So the year has ended and I did not reach the 100 pounds in 1 year.  I lost 26-28 pounds in the year time frame I had wanted.  Am I dissapointed?  Not really… any loss is a good loss and I am 28 or so pounds lighter now than I was then, so that is awesome!

My new goal now will be to lose the full 100 pounds by Christmas, I can do that :) considering that is just 13.9 more pounds to lose in that time frame lol which is 1.4 pounds a week.  I would like to be at least 52 pounds lighter though by my 37th birthday :) (1lb a week) So we shall see.

I will update my goals and stats shortly.  Hope everyone is doing well and continuing to lose the weight!  Thanks for reading and all the support, it means a lot to me! xo

I joined a gym!

I still can’t believe it, me? join a gym?!  It only opens in december though, but they are having a super good deal right now.  Registration is 59 dollars opposed to 249, biweekly payments will be 23.95 opposed to 29.95.

So the good deal ends tomorrow, September 30th… so everyone join!!  So then I will have lots of people to go with. lol

So i lost 1.7 pounds last week :) Not sure what to expect this week as I have been sick..sometimes when im sick i gain, and other times i lose, depending how sick i am i guess lol  I snuck a peak a little bit ago, and normally it shows i gain weight when i weigh at the end of the day, but my scale says i lost 9.7 lol.. so i will see come friday morning. :)

Reflections….

Wow, where does the time go?  Seems like I just put up this site for my journey to lose 100 pounds in 1 year.

But, no… in less than 3 weeks, it will have been up for 1 whole year!! And, I am sad to say, I did not make my goal of 100 pounds in one year.  I have lost almost 19. lol  I have had lots of bumps in the road, lost motivation, never gave up, but took a break I suppose.

I believe making the goal of losing 100 pounds in 1 year, was too high of a goal, it was overwhelming which is what I believed to have detered me a bit from having a big loss.  I am still happy to say though, that I have lost 75.6 pounds in almost 19 months(1.5 yrs).  That is awesome! I haven’t gained the weight back, but maintained my loss, which is still something to be proud of. :)

I have updated my Stats page to put up my new goals, come my birthday though, I will edit it again for the official new goals hehe.  But ya, i think this time i will stick to smaller goals, cause when i reach them, I am ecstatic and it motivates me even more.

I am sooo looking forward to Tuesday night.  Biggest loser season 10 starts!  That is so motivating to watch, I find I always exercise more when that show is airing.  If you haven’t seen it before, you should really check it out.  After a couple weeks, you will be hooked. :)

There is a gym being built near me, that I may be joining with a friend.  Doesn’t open til December though, but they have a pool, and lots of different classes and such.  Might be easier to join something like that WITH someone, so we shall see…

Looking forward to my birthday in a few weeks, not so much the number though. lol But havin’a big ole party at the bar. There is a band that I go see play there from time to time(http://www.dbderringer.com), and I asked the person who books the bands to book them for that night, cause I really wanted to party with them there. :)   They so rock.

I promised I’d bring extra business with me, so everyone is welcome, come one come all! hehe October 9th – 930pm(I may go early to do a song or two karaoke before the band starts)til whenever ya wanna leave hehe. 347 Montreal Rd in Vanier, Ontario.

Update – 9/03/10

So, been awhile again, I am getting so bad at this. sigh. But, I think it was because i was on a plateau(notice the word was?? hehe)

Seems like I may be back on track.  One week I gained 7.4 pounds, I think that was what i needed, motivated me to get back on track.  The week after the big gain, I lost 6.6 pounds, the following week I lost 1.5 pounds, the week after that(last week) I didn’t lose anything, but I also didn’t gain :D   Then this week, I lost 1.6.  YAY!

This is for a total of 75.1 pounds.  24.9 more pounds and I can say I lost 100! woot!  I just want to say I am so glad I did it the old fashioned way and not had the weightloss surgery.  I have a friend who did it, she has been helping me with errands and such, so I said I would buy her subway :)   So she has a 6 inch sub…no drink, no cookies.. JUST the 6 inch sub, she was barely done half of it and she was full!  Eating the whole sub(which is not very much) she felt physically ill because “she ate too much”, and she has just had a lot of complications from having the surgery and she wishes she never had it. :(

The surgery may be right for some people, but it definately wouldn’t have been right for me as I have lost 75.1 pounds on my own and in 18 months!

Saw my best friend today, she had a baby a week ago, he is sooooo cute! I want one!! Wanted one way before she was pregnant lol the whole motivation to start my weightloss journey, definately can’t have a baby at this size.  Especially after the show I watched today.

It was on TLC called “Obese and pregnant” saw it advertised sayin coming up next. I said to my friend, ohhhh i want to see this.. wow, made me definately want to lose more weight.  They could barely hear the baby’s heart beat under “10 layers of fat” :( she was about 362 close to giving birth.  I definately don’t want to be 3 anything when i am giving birth!  So I still have a ways to go before even considering it, and i am turning 36 next month :( sigh.  Hopefully I will have a baby before I turn 40!  Plus I have to have a girl so my best friend’s son and my daughter can get married…lol
